Worship at Embry Hills
Sunday Worship Service Opportunities
Embry Hills United Methodist Church has a long history of fine worship and has long sought to provide a meaningful experience for all who choose to participate. Each Sunday morning, there are two traditional services which utilize an eclectic array of arts and are the product of thoughtful planning and coordination. Through careful selection of texts and selection of music that is seasonally and topically appropriate, all are ensured of both recognizing the familiar and being challenged with the unfamiliar.
Worship at 8:45 a.m. – Our earliest service is an intimate time of worship and reflection through reading of scripture, hearing of the spoken word, and through music. Led by cantors and piano alone, this service lasts approximately 45 minutes.
Worship at 11:00 a.m. – Our latter service of the morning is broader in the scope of communal gathering, and employs a wider array of the arts in worship. The Chancel Choir is the resident choral group of this worship service and is accompanied by both the organ and the piano. Children’s Choirs, the Youth Arts Choir, Handbell Choirs, the Praise Band, and guest instrumental ensembles are heard throughout the year in this service. This service lasts approximately 60 minutes.
During the 11:00 service, we offer care for infants through kindergarteners.
