The 75 churches of the Atlanta-Emory District of the North Georgia Conference are building a Habitat-for-Humanity townhome off of Hwy 29 across from the Pike's Nursery. The cost to the District is $75K, and Embry Hill's portion of that is $4K. Construction will commence on Saturday, February 13, 2010 and continue every Saturday for seven weeks, depending upon weather. There will be a website, to be released January 24, 2010, where individuals may sign up to work on any Saturday(s) of their choice. Unfortunately, due to insurance issues, underage youth will not be allowed to work on site, however, those and others who cannot physically work on site will find many other opportunities to help with the build on this website.
