Bring the Spring 5k
(and kids’ 1/4mi run!)

The Youth are excited to announce a new tradition here at Embry Hills, the inaugural Bring the Spring 5k, hosted by your own youth fellowship! Every weekend, runners and walkers alike participate in local events for fun or competition, often with entry fees going to support designated charities or causes. The youth group has decided to host a 5k this April to raise funds for their summer mission trip (this year the youth group will travel to Savannah, GA to work with a Christian mission-based program called YouthWorks). It is our hope that this 5k event will serve many purposes: first, we hope to have enough participation through the church and members of the community to raise money, effectively reducing the cost of attending the mission trip; the second goal of this event is to bring members of the community to Embry Hills for an enjoyable morning of walking, running, and cheering on participants. So whether you or your child are an A-class athlete, a casual competitor, a t-shirt treasurer (that’s right, you can support us just by pre-ordering a t-shirt!), a weekend walker, or an enthusiastic encourager we hope you’ll join us (and bring a few friends!) on April 17 for what we hope will be one of the most exciting ways to kick off the spring here at Embry Hills. And on behalf of the Embry Hills youth fellowship program, thank you for your continued support of our ministries.
